Job Description

The QA Engineer will write and run test cases for mobile and web apps, test financial transactions from start to finish, and make sure that API interfaces work well across payment gateways and messaging platforms.

 To do this job well, you need to know a lot about fintech testing standards, regulatory compliance (including PCI-DSS, GDPR, and ISO 27001), and have experience with both manual and automated testing.

 The QA Engineer will also be very important for keeping track of bugs, figuring out what caused them, and making sure that quality keeps getting better in line with best practices in the field

Main Duties

• Create, run, and keep up with both human and automated test cases for web and mobile financial apps
• Do testing for functionality, regression, performance, security, and APIs
• Find, record, and keep track of bugs via tools like JIRA or TestRail
• Work with developers to come up with test plans for complicated fintech solutions
• Set up and run automated test frameworks like Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, and Appium
• Do security testing that focuses on stopping fraud, keeping data safe, and verifying identity
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to add testing to CI/CD pipelines like GitHub Actions, GitLab, and Jenkins
• Make sure that your financial business follows the rules (PCI-DSS, GDPR, ISO 27001)
• Test financial transactions and APIs from start to finish to make sure they work together smoothly
• Find the root cause of problems and work with development teams to fix them

Qualifications and Experience

Skills and Competencies

• Knowledge of automated testing frameworks like Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, and Appium
• Knowing how to use SQL and NoSQL databases to check tests
• Knowledge with API testing tools like Postman, REST Assured, and SoapUI
• Experience using CI/CD pipelines and version control tools like Git and Bitbucket
• Good at analyzing, debugging, and writing documentation
• Knowledge of testing for security and compliance in the fintech sector
