Quantity Surveyor (Buildings Maintenance Services) - Bank of Uganda
Join the Bank of Uganda as a Quantity Surveyor (Job Ref: ADS4.11, Rank: SBOII) in our Administrative Services Department to maintain and enhance our physical infrastructure.
About the Job
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will report to the Team Leader Real Estate Services, preparing Bills of Quantities and overseeing building and maintenance projects to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness.
Main Duties
- Assess Bank buildings and estimate repair costs.
- Prepare Bills of Quantities for construction, repair, and maintenance.
- Review contractor payment requests and issue interim payment certificates.
- Monitor maintenance and construction for value optimization.
- Assist staff with building loan appraisals and provide technical advice.
- Submit monthly updates on maintenance work.
What We Want

| Education | First Class or Upper Second-Class Honours degree in Quantity Surveying and registration with Uganda's Surveyors Registration Board (SRB). |
| Experience | At least five years of work in civil engineering. |
| Age | 35 to 40 years old by August 22, 2025. |
| Technical Skills | Advanced computer abilities (CAD software is a bonus), organization, and problem-solving. |
| Behavioral Skills | Strong judgment, analytical thinking, integrity, and teamwork. |
| Physical Demands | Physical strength for long hours, frequent travel to rural areas, and emergency response. |
