Database Administrator (2 Positions) - Bank of Uganda
Join the Bank of Uganda as a Database Administrator (Job Ref: ITO4.26, Rank: SBOII) in our IT Operations and Infrastructure Department to ensure the performance and security of our database systems.
About the Job
As a Database Administrator, you will report to the Team Leader, Data Storage Services, managing and securing Oracle and MS SQL Server databases.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage Oracle and MS SQL Server databases.
- Implement Oracle RAC and other high-availability solutions.
- Monitor and optimize database performance.
- Ensure database security and compliance with regulations.
What We Want

| Requirements | First Class or Upper Second-Class degree in Computer Science or Engineering. Certifications like OCP or MCSA-SQL required. |
| Experience | At least 5 years of database management experience. |
| Age | 30 to 38 years old by August 22, 2025. |
| Technical Skills | Knowledge of Oracle, SQL, and high-availability solutions. |
| Behavioral Skills | Honesty, teamwork, and critical thinking. |
