IT Service Desk Officer (Job Ref: ITO4.36, Rank: BOII)

About the Job

Do you love helping others with their IT problems? Join the Bank of Uganda’s IT Operations and Infrastructure Department as an IT Service Desk Officer to provide first-level support under the Team Leader of User Support Services.

Main Duties

Duty
Manage IT requests and issues using ticketing systems.
Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues.
Provide user training and configure access.
Ensure compliance with ITIL standards.

What We Want

RequirementDetails
EducationFirst Class or Upper Second-Class degree in Computer Science or Engineering. ITIL or CompTIA A+ certifications are a plus.
ExperienceNo experience required.
AgeNot more than 26.0 years old by August 22, 2025.
SkillsTechnical: ITIL understanding, incident management, IT support.
Behavioral: Teamwork, communication, empathy.
