As part of this job you will need to give a full-service professional reservations and ticketing service to all consumers and travel businesses either over the phone or in person in order to maximize customer satisfaction and exceed annual budget revenue goals
Main Responsibilities
Book and confirm reservations for passengers
Use timetables airline manuals reference guides and tariff books to make reservations and plan routes and make sure that ATB is issued correctly for all sorts of ticketing transactions
Help passengers who have been mishandled like NOREC/DNB to cut down on complaints
Give out tickets with the right fare to cut down on complaints and debit notes from passengers
Tell people about changes to their flight plans or whether or not they should cancel or confirm their tickets
Tell load control staff and other stations about changes to passenger itineraries so that they can manage space and make sure that all seats are filled on flights
Make sure the sales report is finished on schedule
Start and market QR items to make money
Take and process reservations made by phone fax or email respond to telex messages and authorities
Help desk help travel agents with seat confirmations and proposals to upgrade or downgrade
Give out MCOs and reimbursements deal with missing tickets and tickets that have run out of time
Look at passenger tickets to make sure you guide or advise them correctly
Use computers schedules and rate books to figure out ticket prices and plan itineraries
Check to see if there is space available on the trip dates that the customer wants
Call clients or travel agents to let them know about changes to travel plans or to confirm reservations and let them know about other options that are available
Sell tickets and put them together so they may be sent to clients
Respond to questions from travel agencies or transportation corporations like airlines bus companies railroad companies and shipping lines

You must have at least three years of job-related experience such as working as a counter staff at an airline or travel agent
Having taken the IATA/Airline Basic Tariff Course will be a plus
A good understanding of world geography
Very good at speaking and writing in English
A lot of knowledge about special pricing deals and promotions
Proven ability to handle room sales while keeping an eye on revenue
Being able to follow management policy and goal sales mix to get the most money from rooms making sure that every chance to sell is taken
