Job Description

Job Title: Sales and Marketing Associate

Boda Guy is the organization.

Duty Station: Kampala, Uganda

As a Sales & Marketing Associate, your job will be to help the company expand, build relationships, and tell its brand story.

You'll help both the Business Development and Sales teams open up new markets, bring in new merchants, and establish long-term connections with customers that speed up the use of Boda Guy's products and services.

You will work in a fast-paced, hyper-growth setting where taking initiative and being creative are very important.

This job is perfect for someone who loves getting measurable outcomes, working with people from other teams, and making great connections with clients and partners.

Roles, Responsibilities, and Duties

Find, connect with, and onboard small and medium-sized companies (including restaurants, stores, and online stores) onto the Boda Guy platform.
Help with local marketing and field activation campaigns to get more people to download the app and sign up as merchants.
Help in making and keeping track of sales pipelines, leads, and reports.
Work with people from Product, Operations, and Marketing to come up with initiatives that are particular to each market and get people involved.
Do market research to find new prospects and understand what customers want.
Help develop and keep important collaborations that benefit both parties and make Boda Guy's presence in the Ugandan market stronger.
Get feedback from customers and businesses to make the product better and the customer experience better.

Requirements, Education, and Skills

We recruit more based on your ability to get results than what you studied, however you should have a bachelor's degree in marketing, business, communications, or a similar profession.

1–3 years’ experience in sales, marketing, or business development (start-up or mobility experience is a plus).
Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
Good in organizing and analyzing things.
The ability to work alone and with others, as well as the ability to start something on your own.
A love of technology, logistics, and eco-friendly ways to get around.
