Job Purpose
Ensure all payments and revenues comply with company financial rules, supported by proper documentation. Supervise audit processes across transactions, stocks, suppliers, and employee records to safeguard assets and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
- Verify arithmetic accuracy and account coding
- Reconcile supplier/customer balances with statements
- Investigate suspected fraud and report promptly
- Audit outgrower records and tax reconciliations (VAT, PAYE, WHT, NSSF)
- Review employee files and labor financial procedures
- Audit ledgers, bank books, sales, and purchases
- Check cash, bank, and journal vouchers
- Conduct random physical stock counts
- Verify store purchases: GRNs, indents, POs, invoices
- Confirm final dues for retiring employees
- Perform other duties assigned by Manager - Internal Audit
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s in Accounting & Finance or Commerce
- CPA Level 2 (ACCA Level 2 advantage)
- 2+ years relevant audit experience
Key Skills
- In-depth accounting and stock verification
- Strong analytical and numerical accuracy
- Proficiency in computerized accounting
- Good supervisory, communication, and interpersonal skills
