Job Summary

EMERGENCY ONG Onlus is an independent humanitarian organization that offers free surgical care to people who have been affected by conflict or poverty 

They are looking for a volunteer Paediatric Anaesthetist to work at their facilities This is a 6-month fixed-term contract that requires you to provide important perioperative anaesthesiological assistance to elective paediatric surgical patients in a tough but gratifying setting The job isn't simply clinical it also involves educating local staff which is in line with EMERGENCY's objective to make a lasting difference

 This is a one-of-a-kind chance for a skilled person to apply their skills to help a cause that will change lives

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Independently handle the anesthetic treatment of pediatric surgical patients before during and after surgery
• Plan and oversee the training of local medical and healthcare workers in anesthesia
• Work closely with the Medical Coordinator and pediatric surgeons
• Work in shifts and be on call to care for patients around the clock
• Follow and promote the organization's clinical rules and guidelines
• Work with and teach national workers helping them improve their abilities

Qualifications for School

Skills and Experience

• At least two years of relevant work experience in pediatric anesthesia
• Must give a signed list of all the anesthesia operations they have done throughout their career
• You must be able to speak English at level B2 or better
• It is really helpful to have worked in low-resource or humanitarian settings before
• Strong dedication to humanitarian principles as well as resilience and adaptability
