Reports to: Deputy Executive Director for Management and Financial Services
In charge of running the regional office, leading the team, coordinating technical services, and making sure that regional operations follow the UNBS mandate.
Be in charge of the regional office, make ensuring resources are used wisely, and hold people accountable.
Help the UNBS's reputation and give the region correct information
Encourage working together with important stakeholders
Oversee technical activities in the regional office
Create and manage policies for field and administrative activities
Make plans, set budgets, and write reports
Allow spending, requests for purchases, and check accountabilities
Write reports on how the work plan is being carried out every month, quarter, and year.
Plan staff reviews and performance evaluations
A master's degree in chemistry, biology, food science, food technology, engineering, or another relevant field from a school that is well-known
Honors degree in one of the fields above
Having training in management is a plus.
At least 9 years of experience, with at least 5 of those years being in a supervisory role
Being a member of a relevant professional organization is a plus.
Strong talents in analysis, creativity, strategy, and interpreting data
Strong talents in leadership, communication, negotiation, ICT, and making decisions
Strong morals and ethics
Age: 35 to 55 years
