Job Summary:

The Business and Investment Analyst looks at investment requests and market prospects in Uganda in great detail. The function gives management and regional leaders important information about market trends, risks, and financial effects so they may make smart decisions.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Look at investment demands such memos, business plans, quotes, and other documentation that support them.
• Do a full market analysis that includes competitors, laws, taxes, and financial data.
• Check the risks of the project and let management know about them in a timely manner.
• Make business plans, retro-planning schedules, and detailed reports and evaluations of projects.
• Get information from a variety of sources, such as the web, legal bodies, industry associations, suppliers, banks, and consultants.
• Work with other divisions in the company to make sure everyone is on the same page and supports investment projects.
• Work along with other parties including banks, suppliers, and advisers.
• Give the Management Team regular updates and insights on initiatives that are still going on.
• Give the Regional Team and COMEX reliable data and analysis to help them.

Important Skills and Abilities:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work alone and as part of a team
• Great organizational skills and the ability to operate under pressure
• Good at using Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
• Good at talking and giving presentations
• Know how to use project management tools and methods

Experience and Qualifications:

• A bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, or a similar discipline (having a CPA is a plus)
• At least two years of experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar analytical job
• Having experience in mergers and acquisitions (M&A) is a plus.
• Showed that they could find and combine knowledge from a variety of sources
