Job Summary
The Business Development Executive will identify new business opportunities, generate leads, and close sales for Workforce Africa’s HR services. The role involves consultative selling, managing client relationships, and expanding market presence to achieve revenue targets and foster long-term partnerships.
Roles, Duties, and Responsibilities
- Develop and execute business development plans to meet monthly and quarterly sales targets
- Identify, engage, and convert potential clients into paying customers for HR services
- Follow up on company- or supervisor-provided leads and close deals efficiently
- Generate and pursue personal leads through networking, referrals, and business intelligence
- Conduct market research to understand client needs and HR industry trends
- Prepare and deliver business proposals, capabilities presentations, and sales pitches
- Manage the entire sales process, from lead generation to deal closure and client onboarding
- Maintain client relationships to ensure satisfaction and repeat business
- Represent the company at business forums, HR events, and industry trade shows
- Use CRM tools (e.g., Zoho CRM, HubSpot, Salesforce) to accurately track sales activities and pipeline updates
- Provide weekly and monthly sales and performance updates
Qualifications, Education, and Skills
- Diploma or degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Management, or a related field
- 3–4 years of experience in account management, sales, or business development, preferably in HR services, consulting, or training
- Proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets
- Familiarity with CRM tools (e.g., Zoho CRM, HubSpot, Salesforce) is an advantage
- Strong communication, presentation, and client relationship-building skills
- Excellent proposal writing and negotiation skills
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to thrive in a target-driven environment
