Job Summary:

The Business Operations & Marketing Officer will help with the company's sustainability strategy by promoting business growth, overseeing savings and credit programs, directing goods sales, planning fundraising events, and running digital marketing campaigns. 

This job has two main goals: to make sure that business ventures and marketing efforts lead to financial growth and long-term effects on the organization.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Enterprise Development and Operations:

• Plan, carry out, and keep an eye on business operations like training centers and farming projects.
• Start at least two new business projects every year.
• Make sure that 80% of businesses meet their financial goals.
• Send in quarterly reports on how well your business is doing

Branding, marketing, and getting people to interact with your brand online:

• Take charge of marketing and branding to make the organization more visible.
• Manage the material on social media sites and your website.
• Run at least four big digital campaigns every year.
• Get 20% more people to interact with you on social media.
• Change the material on your website every three months.

Oversight of Savings and Credit:

• Improve the performance of savings and credit programs
• Teach people how to manage their money and their loans.
• Keep the loan recovery rate at 90%
• Keep an eye on daily loan activities and do risk evaluations.
• Get 10% more people to join your savings club each year.

Sales and merchandise growth:

• Be in charge of designing, promoting, and selling branded goods
• Every year, start two new lines of products.
• Meet or beat yearly sales goals for goods
• Include items for sale in fundraising activities

Managing Events and Raising Money:

• Plan and run events to raise money
• Every year, hold three successful fundraising events
• Get 90% of the event's financial goals met.
• Make reports about the event within two weeks

Partnerships and Links to the Market:

• Make connections with churches and businesses in the private sector
• Every year, make three new partnerships.
• Get 15% more money from partnerships

Skills and Qualifications:

• A bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, finance, or a similar discipline
• 1–2 years of experience in marketing or running a business
• Experience with an NGO or social entrepreneurship is a plus
• Experience managing savings and credit programs.
• Skills in planning and managing money.
• Digital marketing and managing social media
• Planning sales and fundraising events
• Understanding of business development
• Fluency with MS Office
• A personal relationship with Jesus Christ
• Strong leadership and organizational skills
• Great at talking to people
• Ability to make decisions on your own
• High integrity and attention to detail
• A creative and original way of thinking
• The ability to work well with others

• 15% more new sponsorships every year
• 90% of sponsors/donors stay with us.
• 100% of reports were turned in on time.
• 95% accuracy in financial information
• Two process improvements every year
• Two strategic briefs sent in every year
