Job Summary

Plan International is also looking for a Case Management Supervisor for its Kyangwali project. This job is in charge of all case management activities in the settlement and reports to the Project Coordinator.

 The supervisor will help caseworkers do their jobs well and make sure that child protection cases are handled correctly by giving them supervision and support .

This important job includes making sure that at-risk kids get good protection services looking at trends and making sure that information is shared and recorded correctly The supervisor will have good contacts with important people such as UNHCR OPM and the local government

Roles and Responsibilities / Main Duties
  • Case Management Oversight: Oversee and help caseworkers make sure that case management processes are carried out correctly according to national and international standards
  • Capacity Building: Give caseworkers ongoing training coaching and help on the job to help them understand child protection principles and how to manage cases
  • Quality Assurance: Check case files and reviews on a regular basis to make sure that the paperwork is of high quality that privacy is protected and that procedures are followed
  • Technical Guidance: Give technical help with hard cases and make sure that case conferences and referrals are done correctly
  • Reporting: Collect and analyze case management data to find patterns and make frequent reports for management and partners
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Work with other service providers (health legal and psychosocial support) to make sure that children get a coordinated response from all sectors
  • Best Practices: Make sure that all case management staff follow the best practices for child protection and gender-based violence
Academic Qualifications
Qualification
A degree in an area relating to Social Work Psychology Law Gender Studies or another field
Skills and Experience
  • A lot of experience (usually 3–5 years) running child protection case management programs in a humanitarian or development setting
  • A lot of information of the principles of child safety and the criteria for case management
  • Proven ability to train mentor and help personnel become more capable
  • A lot of expertise in managing analyzing and reporting on data
  • Great at talking to people getting along with them and solving problems
  • Ability to work well with a wide range of people and create relationships with community members partners and government officials
  • Having worked with refugees before is a big plus
