Diageo is looking for a Consumer Planning Manager to join their Marketing team in Kampala Uganda. This job is for a creator which is someone who builds and nurtures some of the world's most adored brands by really knowing what consumers want.
The Consumer Planning Manager will be the business's voice for consumers coming up with ideas and insights that help the organization expand. This means combining information from several sources finding profound insights and persuading top stakeholders to make strategic decisions based on facts and the needs of customers

Roles and Responsibilities / Main Duties
Consumer Insight: Be in charge of figuring out what consumers need how they act and what drives them so that you can find ways for the brand and category to expand
Data Synthesis: Combine quantitative and qualitative data from several sources to get a complete picture of the market and the people who buy things
Strategic Influence: Help top leaders in the Category and Brand teams make smart business decisions that are based on what customers want
Campaign Development: Work with marketing teams to come up with new ways to communicate with customers and improve the brand based on strong customer data
Market Monitoring: Keep an eye on cultural trends what competitors are doing and how the market is changing that could affect growth
Measurement and Evaluation: Use what you learn from measuring marketing performance to make your advertising and promotion spending more effective and efficient
Agency Management: Build and maintain connections with important outside agency partners to get high-quality consumer research and insights
Academic Qualifications
Qualification
A bachelor's degree in statistics marketing business social sciences or a similar discipline is required
Having a Master's degree is a big plus
Skills and Experience
You should have at least 7 years of experience in consumer insights market research or strategic planning preferably with a company that sells fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG)
A history of success in brand positioning strategic brand planning and quantitative analysis
A lot of experience working in complicated multi-market settings
Proven ability to persuade and connect with high-level stakeholders
An unending desire to learn about customers and the world they live in
Great communication presentation and storytelling skills to make insights come to life
