Diageo a global leader in premium drinks with over 200 brands is looking for a strategic and analytical Market Category Specialist for Facilities & Real Estate to work in Kampala Uganda .
This job is part of Diageo's creative Procurement department which is in charge of planning future services collaborations and innovations The expert will be a key part of establishing and carrying out category strategy for spending on facilities and real estate across Africa.
This means using strategic procurement excellence driving sourcing efforts and using deep supply market knowledge to provide great value manage risk and make sure that all of Diageo's operations on the continent are in line with the law This is a great job for someone who works in procurement and has a strong strategic mind and an interest in the built environment
Roles and Responsibilities / Main Duties
Category Strategy Support: Help create and improve data-driven category strategies for facilities and real estate by looking at business needs and market conditions
Sourcing Execution: Carry out sourcing tasks for spend categories that are above-market and market-specific using Diageo's best practice standards at every step
Market Analysis: Look into and study supply marketplaces suppliers and cost structures to find ways to save money and create value
Stakeholder Engagement: Build and strengthen relationships with both internal stakeholders and external suppliers so you can fully grasp their requirements and capacities
Risk Management: Find write down and follow up on hazards that come up during sourcing operations and put in place effective ways to lower those risks
Supplier Management: Help with methods for managing supplier relationships such as creating KPIs and working together to enhance performance and come up with new ideas
Data and Reporting: Use strict analytics and performance dashboards to keep track of how you're doing compared to your goals and help you make decisions based on facts
Worldwide Collaboration: Join a worldwide network of procurement professionals to discuss best practices and make sure everyone is on the same page when it comes to category plans
Academic Qualifications
Qualification
A bachelor's degree in business supply chain engineering or a related discipline
Having a Master's degree is a plus
Skills and Experience
A demonstrated history of working in a typical Source-to-Pay or procurement process
Have worked in performance management systems that are based on KPIs
Proven ability to manage contracts negotiate with suppliers and find the best sources
Good in math and analysis and knows how to use data analysis tools like Excel
Great skills in talking to people making deals and managing stakeholders
A desire to learn new things and a proactive commitment to professional development and constant learning
Having worked in facilities management real estate or a related field is very helpful
