Job Summary:

The Customer Care Specialist will be the first person that potential and current clients talk to at Numida. They will provide quick support through a variety of channels and help small businesses successfully use Numida's financial services and digital platforms.

About Numida:

Numida is a new fintech firm that wants to help small businesses in Uganda by making digital financial services easy to use. We give entrepreneurs working capital loans and company management solutions that help them expand their firms and become financially included in the digital economy.

Main Tasks and Duties:

  • Look over and reply to any customer care inquiries that come in through different channels
  • You may manage communications through in-app chat, WhatsApp, a toll-free phone line, and Facebook Messenger.
  • Solve important problems for customers and make sure they are happy with the service.
  • Help both potential and current customers with technical app problems.
  • Use Slack to send complicated customer service inquiries to the right departments.
  • Give feedback from customers to management so that products can be improved.
  • Work with the Product and Credit teams on experiments to improve service.
  • Keep accurate records of interactions with customers and how they were resolved.
  • Find ways to make customer service more efficient and better.
  • Help with the application and onboarding processes for customers
  • Give explicit instructions on what Numida's services are and what they need.
  • Be professional and understanding when dealing with client questions.
  • Go to team meetings and training sessions
  • Help with extra things that management requests you to do

Skills and Qualifications:

  • A college degree in any discipline
  • At least two years of experience in customer service or a credit institution
  • Experience in a call center (big plus)
  • Knowledge of best practices for customer service
  • Good at talking to and getting along with other people
  • Good typing speed and computer skills
  • The ability to analyze critically and solve problems
  • Ability to communicate in professional English
  • Experience with digital communication tools
  • Knowledge of the problems small businesses face
  • Ability to fix technical problems
  • Experience with customer service across multiple channels
  • Ability to deal with a lot of questions
  • A caring and customer-focused approach

  • Able to communicate clearly and professionally in both written and spoken English.
  • Organized and pays attention to details when managing checklists.

Skills in Technology:

  • Able to use customer service software
  • Have used communication tools like WhatsApp and Facebook Messenger
  • Know how to use internal collaboration tools like Slack
  • A basic understanding of mobile apps
  • Being able to use a computer and type well.
  • Having familiarity with a CRM system is a plus.
