Role Purpose

Oversee all kitchen operations to deliver **nutritious, therapeutic, and delicious** meals for patients (diabetic, renal, pediatric, post-op), staff, and visitors. Maintain 5-star presentation while controlling costs and ensuring zero food-safety incidents.

Key Responsibilities

• Design menus with hospital dietitian (low-sodium, gluten-free, etc.)
• Supervise 15+ kitchen staff — training, rostering, performance
• Manage UGX 60M+ monthly food budget
• Zero waste — portion control + stock rotation
• Daily procurement & supplier negotiation
• Enforce HACCP, ISO 22000, and MoH standards
• Handle VIP & executive dining requests
• Resolve patient food complaints within 1 hour
• Monthly hygiene & equipment audits

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma in Hotel Management & Institutional Catering
• Bachelor’s in Culinary Arts/Food Production (advantage)
• 5+ years as Executive/Sous Chef
• Hospitality in healthcare setting (highly desirable)
• Valid Food Handler’s Certificate
