Role Purpose
Supervise and coordinate the housekeeping team to ensure all hospital areas — patient rooms, offices, washrooms, and public spaces — are cleaned and maintained to the highest standards of infection prevention, safety, and patient satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily cleaning across all hospital zones
- Enforce infection control, hygiene, and safety protocols
- Conduct regular inspections and quality audits
- Assign duties, monitor performance, and train staff
- Manage supplies, stock levels, and usage logs
- Oversee linen distribution, deep cleaning, and curtain rotation
- Ensure proper waste segregation and disposal (including biohazard)
- Develop and update SOPs and cleaning standards
- Handle patient/visitor inquiries professionally
- Support Housekeeper In-Charge with planning and reporting
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma in Hotel Management, Institutional Catering, or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years in housekeeping supervision
- Hospital or healthcare experience is an advantage
- Strong knowledge of infection control and workplace safety
- Proven leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work shifts, weekends, and holidays
