Teach For Uganda is a powerful non-profit that works to make sure that all children in Uganda get a fair and high-quality education. They are looking for a Finance Officer. This job is very important for helping the Finance Manager keep correct financial records make sure that strict organizational and donor regulations are followed and run the daily financial operations

There are four main parts to the job: Financial Recordkeeping and Compliance (40%) Financial Reporting and Analysis (30%) Compliance and Internal Control (20%) and Budget and Cash Flow Management (10%). Some of the most important tasks are keeping perfect accounting records in QuickBooks Online processing payment vouchers keeping filing systems organized updating withholding tax schedules and doing monthly bank reconciliations

The officer will also aid with audit preparation keep an eye on spending versus budgets help with management and donor reports and help enforce internal financial controls

Skills Experience and Qualifications

Requirement
A bachelor's degree in accounting finance commerce business administration or a similar discipline
Level II or above from a professional accounting body like ACCA CIMA or CPA is a big plus
At least three (3) years of relevant work experience in a similar position with a well-known organization ideally an INGO
You must have worked with QuickBooks Online (system entry reporting and reconciliations) in person
A lot of experience with MS Excel and good analytical skills
A lot of honesty privacy responsibility and the capacity to work with little or no supervision
