• Audit Planning and Execution:
  • Come up with and put into action a risk-based internal audit plan that covers all of Hofokam's important operations and places where there is risk
  • Do regular and ad hoc audits of financial operational and compliance processes to make sure they follow internal policies and outside rules
  • Find places where internal controls aren't working well and suggest ways to make them better
  • Write full audit reports with findings suggestions and action plans for management
• Risk Management and Compliance:
  • Work with the Risk Management team to find and judge risks in all areas of the company
  • Make sure that Hofokam follows all laws rules and standards that apply including those set by the Bank of Uganda and other regulators
  • Keep an eye on how audit suggestions are being put into place and check to see if they are working
• Leading and Managing Teams:
  • Lead train and guide the Internal Audit team to make sure they do good work
  • Give team members regular feedback on how they are doing and help them grow professionally
  • Make sure the Internal Audit department has enough people and resources to carry out the audit plan
• Reporting and Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Give the Board of Directors and the Audit Committee regular updates on audit results risks and the state of internal controls
  • Work closely with Senior Management to help them improve operations and reach company goals
  • Build good relationships with outside auditors regulators and other important people
