Role Overview

The Sales Executive is a senior leadership position responsible for executing eTranzact's strategic sales agenda in Uganda. Reporting directly to the Board, you will lead customer acquisition, manage the full sales cycle, and close high-value enterprise deals across telecoms, fintech, banking, and FMCG sectors.

Duties, Roles, and Responsibilities

  • Deliver compelling technical and functional product presentations and demonstrations
  • Collaborate with clients to assess needs and align eTranzact solutions with business goals
  • Respond to RFIs/RFPs and develop tailored proposals
  • Liaise with global product, development, and delivery teams to meet customer requirements
  • Lead end-to-end sales negotiations and contract finalization
  • Build and maintain relationships with C-level decision-makers across industries
  • Partner with marketing to design and execute targeted sales campaigns
  • Manage short-term tactical wins and long-term strategic growth
  • Support customer onboarding to the XCEL App and coordinate nationwide partner activation

Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum 5 years in sales, business development, or related field
  • Proven success building and managing sales teams and driving revenue growth
  • Experience selling to banks, FMCGs, SACCOs, and fintech organizations
  • Deep understanding of fintech challenges: technological, regulatory, commercial
  • Track record of exceeding sales targets and high lead-to-close conversion
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills
  • Strategic thinker with passion for innovation and financial inclusion
  • Strong knowledge of digital payments, mobile banking, and fintech trends
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced, startup-like environments
