The Senior Financial Accountant is in charge of all accounting tasks from reconciliations to expense management to revenue reporting to cash flow monitoring to making sure the company follows the law

They report to the Senior Finance Manager

The job entails working closely with Accounts Payable Procurement auditors and Group Finance to make sure that everything is correct and follows accounting regulations tax laws and corporate policy

• Oversee all accounting tasks for several businesses and areas of law
• Do and lead monthly revenue reconciliations postings and reports
• Work with Accounts Payable and Procurement to make sure costs are allocated correctly
• Keep track of prepayments spending accruals and fixed asset registers
• Check and approve payments and reconciliations from suppliers
• Check the balances of the bank general ledger debtors suppliers and intercompany accounts
• Keep an eye on and report on cash flows including cash drawdowns
• Help in making yearly budgets and predictions
• Make sure that monthly legal and regulatory reports are sent on time
• Work with auditors and Group Finance to make sure everything is in order
• Make sure you follow the regulations for international financial reporting (IFRS) taxes VAT CGT and transfer pricing
• Look at financial data to make sure it's correct and help make decisions
• Find hazards and make sure that compliance rules are followed

Education

• A degree in a relevant field (articles are a plus)

Experience

• At least three years in a similar capacity ideally in financial services

Technical Knowledge

• Accounting for several currencies companies and jurisdictions
• Managing cash flow and credit control
• Making a budget and predicting the future
• Good understanding of IFRS and familiarity with statutory reporting
• Good at using Microsoft Office programs including Excel Word and Outlook as well as Windows-based accounting systems
• Knowledge of taxes: experience with managing income tax VAT and CGT
