Job Summary:
Apex Group, a global leader in fund administration, is looking for a Senior Financial Accountant to handle all accounting tasks for several entities and jurisdictions.
This position gives you the chance to come up with new ways to handle money and provide useful information in a fast-paced, global setting.
Responsibilities, Roles, and Duties
- Handle all accounting tasks for several businesses and locations
- Do monthly revenue reconciliations, postings, and reports
- Work with Accounts Payable and Procurement to figure out how much each business should pay
- Keep track of expenses, prepayments, and fixed asset registers
- Check bank, general ledger, and intercompany accounts for accuracy
- Keep an eye on cash flows and report on them, including cash drawdowns
- Help in making yearly budgets and predictions
- Make sure that monthly, statutory, and regulatory reports are sent out on schedule.
- Work with auditors and make sure you follow IFRS.
- Find risks and make sure that compliance standards are met.
Qualifications, Education, and Skills
- A degree that is relevant (articles are a plus)
- At least three years of experience in a similar capacity, particularly in financial services
- Familiarity with accounting for many currencies and companies
- Strong grasp of IFRS and familiarity with statutory reporting
- Good with Microsoft Office and accounting software
- Has worked with income tax, VAT, and CGT administration
- Great at talking to people and addressing problems
- Can handle tight reporting deadlines
- Paying close attention to details and being able to think critically
