Job Summary

The East African Carbon Company (EACC), a leader in carbon credit programs, is hiring a Senior Procurement & Contracts Manager to oversee procurement for its national carbon program in Kampala.

 This critical role ensures compliance with Uganda’s Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets (PPDA) regulations, internal controls, and donor requirements, supporting EACC’s mission to drive environmental sustainability. The manager will lead high-value procurement processes, ensuring transparency, efficiency, and alignment with the organization’s climate goals.

Duties

• Oversee competitive bidding processes
• Draft and negotiate contracts
• Maintain meticulous procurement records
• Track project milestones and mitigate risks
• Ensure robust anti-corruption measures are in place
• Mentor junior staff and streamline procurement workflows
• Liaise with stakeholders to align purchasing decisions with EACC’s sustainability objectives
• Monitor supplier performance and ensure timely delivery of goods and services
• Prepare reports for internal and donor audiences
• Stay updated on Uganda’s procurement laws and donor guidelines
