Job Summary:
The Finance Manager (Treasury and Payments) will be in charge of planning, putting into action, and making sure that global treasury and payments processes are always getting better. This job includes overseeing cash, liquidity, and foreign currency operations across several currencies and jurisdictions, as well as heading the Treasury team and helping the Payment team make sure that large-scale payments are made quickly, safely, and in accordance with the law.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Treasury (50%):
- Lead implementation and optimization of Treasury Management Systems (TMS), procedures, and workflows
- Own liquidity planning, global cash flow management, and intercompany funding structures
- Execute and monitor FX deals and exposures across different currencies
- Improve cash reporting and make sure that liquidity management works well in all countries
- Handle banking relationships, account operations, and audit coordination
- Oversee investment management, execution, and reporting
Payments (20%):
- Help the Payments Manager with payables, allowances, payroll, and legal payments
- Manage accounts with banks and mobile money providers
- Be the person to go to for payment requests, making sure staff safety and compliance
- Keep an eye on monthly reconciliations, exception management, and recovery tracking
Risk/Compliance (10%):
- Ensure compliance with local and worldwide financial legislation and tax requirements
- Own audit processes linked to treasury and payments
- Manage KYC documents for banking and payment partners
- Keep Treasury policies up to date and make sure that everyone follows the organization's financial policies.
Technology and Process Improvement (15%):
- Work with the Tech team to look over, update, and automate financial systems
- Make workflows more consistent and speed up the closing of financial transactions
- Get rid of old manual processes and help integrate them with financial instruments.
Program & Stakeholder Support (5%):
- Help country teams come up with good ways to make payments
- Make solid connections with banks, aggregators, and mobile money providers
Experience and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (required)
- Advanced qualification (MBA, CPA, CFA, FRM) preferred
- 5+ years of professional finance experience, with at least 2+ years in treasury
- Proven experience with banking and payment providers, FX, and liquidity management
- Strong command of financial systems (Intacct, QuickBooks, Emburse, Concur, Nexonia)
- Advanced knowledge of spreadsheets (Google Sheets/Excel)
- Proven effectiveness in automating processes, stopping fraud, and keeping an eye on finances
- You need to be fluent in English, and knowing French or Portuguese is a plus.
