Job Summary

The Water Supply & Control Technician controls the flow, intake, and distribution of water across ponds and cages to ensure optimal water conditions for fish growth while minimizing waste and environmental impact.

 The role involves operating and maintaining water systems, monitoring usage, and adhering to safety and environmental standards

Responsibilities, Roles, and Duties

• Operate and maintain pumps, valves, and water channels
• Monitor water flow and usage in the hatchery
• Check water levels in ponds
• Collaborate with aeration and dredging staff to maintain pond conditions
• Record and report incidents related to water supply
• Implement water-saving methods aligned with environmentally friendly practices
• Follow safety rules when working with pumps, valves, and water channels
• Report risks, leaks, or unsafe working conditions
• Use proper water handling methods to prevent contamination
• Perform any other tasks assigned by the line manager

Qualifications, Education, and Skills

Skills:  
Understanding how to use a pump, plumbing, and basic hydraulics  
Knowing what kind of water aquaculture needs  
Ability to work outside and in tough situations
