Role Overview

The HIV/TB Care and Treatment Officer provides technical leadership and mentorship to ensure timely, high-quality implementation of HIV epidemic control activities across supported districts.

You will support health facilities, mentor providers, and drive adherence to national guidelines for HIV/TB care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, monitor, and report on HIV/AIDS/TB treatment scale-up activities
  • Mentor health workers and district teams on HIV/TB care and treatment
  • Support dissemination of National HIV treatment guidelines and standards
  • Provide on-call or remote technical assistance for complex HIV/TB cases
  • Support quality assurance of HIV/TB services and recommend improvements
  • Provide technical input into HIV/TB care and treatment planning
  • Supervise field office technical teams
  • Perform any other duties as assigned

Qualifications, Education & Skills

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Medicine (MBChB) or Health-related field
  • Training: Postgraduate training in HIV/AIDS and TB management
  • Additional: Extra postgraduate training is an advantage
  • Experience: At least 3 years in district-led HIV/TB programming
