This job is very important for the financial health of the business and it requires a very careful professional to handle all accounting tasks make sure the company follows the law and give management important financial information.

The best applicant will have a lot of experience in hospitality accounting know how to use accounting software and be able to pay attention to details to help make strategic decisions in a fast-paced sector

• Financial Reporting: Make sure that monthly quarterly and annual financial statements such as income statements balance sheets and cash flow statements are correct and sent on schedule If necessary take care of the consolidation of accounts
• Budgeting and Forecasting: Help develop annual budgets and monthly financial predictions keep an eye on how well they are doing and report on any differences
• Transaction Management: Take care of everything related to accounts payable and receivable payroll and bank reconciliations
• Statutory Compliance: Make sure that all tax laws (PAYE VAT Withholding Tax) and other legal duties are followed and that returns are filed on time with the Uganda Revenue Authority (URA)
• Internal Controls: Set up and keep an eye on strong internal control mechanisms to protect firm assets and stop fraud
• Cost Control: Keep an eye on and evaluate costs to find ways to make the hospitality operations more efficient and save money
• Support for Management: Give the management team clear financial analysis insights and suggestions to help them make decisions that will make money

• At least three years of real-world accounting experience candidates with experience in the hospitality business (hotels restaurants resorts) are strongly preferred
• You must be very good at using accounting software and you must have used Tally before
• A lot of understanding about Ugandan tax laws and rules of money
• Good at analyzing solving problems and working with numbers
• A lot of honesty accuracy and attention to detail
• Great at organizing and meeting tight deadlines
