Donswift Company Limited a major participant in Uganda's paint manufacturing industry is looking for a dynamic and strategic Head of Sales & Distribution to run its business.
This high-level management position is headquartered in Kampala and is very important for increasing revenue and market share The best applicant will have a lot of experience leading others and building high-performing sales teams and managing complicated distribution networks.This job lets you change the market presence of a well-known brand in a competitive and important part of the economy
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership: Create and put into action thorough data-driven sales and distribution plans that are in line with the company's lofty goals for revenue and market growth Look at market trends what your competitors are doing and what your customers are saying to find fresh chances
Team Management: Create lead teach and inspire a sales team that does well Set explicit performance goals (KPIs) have regular evaluations and create an environment where quality responsibility and great customer service are the norm
Channel Management: Manage and grow relationships with a group of retailers and distributors Make sure these partners are well-equipped taught and motivated to sell Donswift items so that they are always available and on the shelf
Performance Monitoring: Keep an eye on sales across all channels and areas Make detailed sales reports and forecasts for senior management along with suggestions for how to make things better
Market Expansion: Find and create new ways to get your products to more people in Uganda by finding new distribution channels and market niches
Customer Relationship Management: Make sure that the team is focused on the customer and that they are very happy with the service Also make sure that important account needs are met in a strategic way
Academic Requirements
Requirement
You must have at least a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration Marketing Commerce or an area that is quite similar
A Master's degree (such an MBA) would be a big plus
Skills and Experience
At least 5 years of sales experience with at least 3 years in a senior management or leadership role
A proven track record of success in the FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) sector is quite desirable Experience in banking insurance or advertising is also useful because it gives you abilities that can help you reach sales goals and lead teams
Great leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate and get results
Good at thinking ahead analyzing and coming up with solutions
Great negotiation communication and interpersonal abilities to handle both internal teams and external partners well
A deep understanding of how distribution works in Uganda
