Applications Development & Support Officer (2 Positions) - Bank of Uganda
Join the Bank of Uganda as an Applications Development & Support Officer (Job Ref: ITB4.08, Rank: SBOI) in our IT Business Automation Department to design and maintain innovative business applications.
About the Job
As an Applications Development & Support Officer, you will report to the Team Leader, Applications Development, to create and support business applications that enhance operational efficiency.
Main Duties
- Analyze needs and document system specifications.
- Develop applications, write code, test, and deploy solutions.
- Provide third-level support for custom and off-the-shelf solutions.
- Document technical manuals and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Supervise interns and assist with system deployments.
What We're Looking For
| Category | Details |
|---|---|
| Qualifications | First Class or Upper Second-Class degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related discipline. Certifications in ASP.NET or Django are a plus. |
| Experience | At least 7 years of application development experience. |
| Age | 32.0 to 37.0 years old by August 22, 2025. |
| Technical Skills | Full-stack development, SQL, and best practices for security. |
| Behavioral Skills | Collaboration, honesty, and communication. |
