Job Title: Operations Assistant Manager

Summary of the Job: Our client is a corporation that offers a variety of investing services, such as managing private wealth, unit trusts, and funds.
It helps people and businesses invest in several types of assets, such as money market, fixed income, and equities, with the goal of helping them keep and build their wealth.
Roles, Duties, and Responsibilities
- The job includes helping the company's operational strategy and making the firm run more smoothly overall.
- The holder will be in charge of making sure that business runs well and that services are delivered quickly by making sure that system transactions are posted correctly, payments are processed on time, reports are prepared for the business and for clients, and anything else that needs to be done.
- Manage daily fund activities, such as processing trades, reconciling cash and positions, and settling trades.
- Work with custodians, fund administrators, agents, and internal teams to fix problems and make sure things are done on schedule.
- Check and confirm Net Asset Value (NAV) calculations and make sure that securities are priced correctly.
- Help new funds, clients, and investment products get started
- Make sure that you follow the rules set by the government and your own company.
- To make things go more smoothly and lower risk, review and improve your operational processes and controls.
- Make and look over operational reports, dashboards, and MIS for use by the company and the government.
- Help with audits, inspections by regulators, and reviews of risks
- Talk to portfolio managers, risk, compliance, and finance teams to make sure that all departments are on the same page.
- Use best practices in your work and help with process automation or system upgrades.
- Make sure that the systems are set up to provide smooth customer service (fixing system support problems)
- Support new ideas and tests for support systems to improve performance
- Any other tasks that may be given on a daily basis.
Qualifications, Education, and Skills Needed
Bachelor's degree in a field relating to finance, accounting, statistics, quantitative economics, or anything else.
Experience details
- At least three (3) years of experience working in operations in fund management or a comparable financial services company.
Skills, knowledge, and abilities
- Strong leadership has the ability to encourage teamwork, develop others, and motivate them.
- Good communication and presentation abilities, such as the ability to draft reports and gather the right supporting documents.
- Excellent people skills and the ability to work with people from different cultures, especially the capacity to form alliances and work together.
- Must be able to start things on their own, be very organized, and get along with people at all levels of the company.
- Previous experience working with third-party custodians or fund administrators.
- Good in analyzing, using numbers, and coming up with new ideas
- Good at managing relationships with customers (both inside and outside the company).
