Markh Investments is looking for a dependable and safety-conscious .Truck Driver to join our logistics and transportation team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods and materials to their designated locations, ensuring punctual deliveries and strict adherence to all traffic regulations and company procedures

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Safely operate company trucks to transport goods and materials
Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
Load and unload cargo ensuring all items are properly secured to prevent damage
Maintain precise logs of deliveries mileage fuel consumption and trip records
Adhere to assigned routes and schedules making necessary adjustments for traffic weather or road conditions
Comply with all transportation regulations traffic laws and company safety standards
Promptly report any vehicle mechanical issues accidents or delivery delays
Communicate clearly and effectively with dispatch warehouse personnel and customers
Deliver excellent customer service during all pickups and deliveries

Qualifications and Skills

Qualification	Details
Driving License	Valid CE class driving license
Experience	A minimum of five (5) years of professional driving experience
Nationality	Must be a Ugandan national with verifiable cross-border driving experience
Age	Between 40 and 55 years old
Preference	Preference will be given to married candidates who demonstrate stability in their family life
Driving Record	A clean driving record with no recent traffic violations
Skills	Demonstrated ability to operate trucks trailers and other heavy vehicles safely
Knowledge	Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and compliance standards
Time Management	Good time management and organizational abilities
Communication	Excellent communication and customer service skills
Physical Capability	Must be physically capable of lifting moving and securing cargo

Additional Details

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with long-haul regional or local driving routes
Proficiency in using GPS navigation systems
Experience transporting hazardous materials is an advantage
Basic mechanical aptitude for performing minor truck maintenance

Work Environment

This role involves long driving hours which may include nights weekends and holidays
Drivers will be exposed to a variety of weather conditions
The job includes a combination of driving and physical loading/unloading tasks
