Job Summary:
We want to hire a professional and experienced accountant or financial assistant.
This person will be in charge of managing and controlling the organization's financial activities, making sure that all transactions, reports, and management are accurate, follow the rules, and run smoothly.
This job is very important for making sure that laws and regulations are followed, that financial reports are sent out on time, and that strategic planning and decision-making are supported.
Important Duties and Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership
- Help with business strategy and decision-making across departments by providing financial insights
- Give financial forecasts, business models, and strategic cost analyses
- Help the commercial, legal, and operations teams with finance input
- Take part in budgeting cycles and strategic planning sessions
- Help with presentations at the board level
- Making decisions all the time as part of the senior management team
Financial Reporting and Oversight
- Make sure that financial reports are correct, timely, and follow the rules
- Keep an eye on how well the budget is doing compared to spending
- Take care of monthly and quarterly financial duties
Managing Payroll and Following Tax Laws
- Make sure that payroll is done correctly and on schedule and that all tax responsibilities are met
- Work with outside auditors and regulatory bodies to coordinate corrective tax filings and audits
- Check and approve payroll calculations and required deductions
Reconciling Revenue and Bank
- Make sure that all income data is comprehensive and that revenue monitoring is accurate
- Make sure that all financial transactions are in agreement with bank and revenue records
- Oversee the reconciliation of customer transactions and deposits
- Do periodic checks on your bank accounts
Accounts Payable and Receivable
- Make sure that suppliers are paid quickly and correctly
- Handle invoicing and collecting in a way that is quick and easy
Managing Teams and Building Capacity
- Build and lead a finance team that does well
- Check in with team members and give them tasks to do
- Give mentoring and comments on tasks in real time
Experience and Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field
- Professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, or equivalent is highly desirable
- At least 3-5 years of relevant experience in accounting or financial management
- Experience in a manufacturing or production company is preferred
- Strong understanding of financial regulations, tax laws, and compliance requirements
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and leadership skills
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
