Job Description

The Manager Portfolio Digital Lending BCB will lead the Business and Commercial Banking portfolio management department focusing on reporting monitoring and managing BCB portfolios while providing credit insights and analytics This role is critical to enhancing digital lending strategies and ensuring risk parameters are met for Standard Bank Uganda Limited a subsidiary of Standard Bank Group Africa leading banking and financial services group

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Collections Strategy Management

Collaborates to set collections plans for the scored loan portfolio to be implemented by Rehabilitation and Recovery teams
Addresses issues aging the loan book and adjusts strategies to stay within specified risk parameters

Credit Digitization and Re-engineering

Provides feedback supports and leads strategic initiatives and tactical solutions across the credit lifecycle to improve procedures processes and systems
Develops new solutions automates custom reports and creates bots for routine tasks

Lending Strategy Scenario Planning and Deployment Support

Assists with rollout of scored lending products proposes lending criteria and provides expert feedback on product papers
Ensures credit governance compliance and conducts go live testing

Originations and Account Management Strategy

Reviews and approves application and behavioral scorecards monitors their use and proposes improvements or new scorecards for Credit Risk Management Committee approval

Performance Metrics

Works with Head of BCB Credit to maintain Credit Loss Ratio Non Performing Loan percentage and impairments within budget while promoting prescored lending adoption

Relationships with Stakeholders

Builds and maintains strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders including management auditors non executives and industry peers

Requirements
