Roles, Duties, and Responsibilities

• Lead and manage vendors to provide a full outsourced and legal collection service by making sure that Recoveries are maximized on accounts that have been written off by using the right collection methods and following the agreed-upon collection operation strategies. This includes setting up and keeping an eye on legal procedures and making sure that all legal requirements are met.
• The Vendor Management Program (VMP) makes ensuring that vendors like attorneys, repossession agencies, debt collections agencies, liquidators, trustees, auctioneers, valuators, and customers follow the rules laid out in the Service Level Agreements (SLA's).
• The Vendor Engagement Model (VEM) is used carefully to keep outsourced tasks from taking too long and costing too much by making sure that the Rules of the relevant Courts and the terms and conditions of the Service Level Agreements (SLA's) are always followed.
• Check that the agreed-upon performance outputs are being made and sent out by comparing actuals to defined targets and reports that give management and other stakeholders the Portfolio insights they need.
• Help manage the Recoveries Budget by keeping an eye on accounts and provisions every month to make sure they stay within budget.
• Set up and keep an eye on defined rules, procedures, and processes to control the repossession and disposal operations. Also, make sure that any security that may be attributed is realized.
• Set up the right ways to talk to the Head Office Credit Capabilities Deployment team (CART) so that you can work together to meet business needs on a regular basis.
• Regular reports and feedback conversations on the performance of the Recoveries Portfolio, including the net provisions raised and recoveries on bad debts, should be used to manage internal stakeholders.
• Make sure that the right steps are taken to keep accounts up to date and turn them around quickly, and that all accounts are given the right amount of attention.

Qualifications, Skills, and Education

First degree from a school that is known

3 to 4 years of experience in banking or financial organizations dealing with legal and collections issues.

Knowledge, expertise, and good judgment in coming up with ways to rehabilitate through different collection methods or by starting legal action.

Four or more years of experience working in the collections department of a law firm or comparable organization/credit risk environment, plus three years of experience managing a collections department.

3–4 years of expertise in understanding how to analyze credit risk in order to figure out the best course of action for unsecured and secured loan products.

Managing and regulating the operational parts, like outsourcing, engagement models, output metrics, and expenses, when it comes to outside vendors like attorneys, debt collection agencies, tracers, auctioneers, and liquidators.
