Position Overview
The National Project Manager will lead the implementation of a large-scale project in Uganda's Creative and Cultural Industries (CCI) focusing on youth employment and entrepreneurship.
This position is open to locally residing Ugandan nationals The contract will be administered on behalf of ITC by UNOPS
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Programme Management: Provide strategic coordination and oversight ensuring effective planning monitoring and evaluation.
- Team Leadership: Manage a team of staff and consultants.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Maintain engagement with government bodies private sector partners development partners and donors.
- Technical Input: Strengthen the enabling environment for the Creative Industries supporting policy dialogue and institutional partnerships.
Qualifications and Competencies
| Category | Details |
|---|---|
| Education | An advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in business administration management economics or a related field. A first-level degree with additional qualifying experience may be accepted |
| Experience | A minimum of five years of experience in project or programme management Experience with UN-funded or large-scale donor programmes is desirable |
| Competencies | Professionalism strong communication skills teamwork creativity and client orientation Knowledge of Uganda's Creative and Cultural Industries is an asset |
| Languages | Fluency in English is required Knowledge of local languages spoken in Uganda is an advantage |
