Job Title: National UN Volunteer Specialist - External Relations Assistant

· Host Entity: UNHCR Uganda

· Duty Station: Kampala

· Duration: 12 months (with the option to extend)

· Application Deadline: September 19 2025

This job is very important for UNHCR Uganda which helps the most refugees in Africa (nearly 1 9 million) The assistant will help with raising money which is quite important for a budget of more than $361 million

Description of the Task:

• Writing proposals: Make idea notes and financing applications for funders
• Donor Relations: Plan and carry out donor field missions to places where refugees live
• Grant Management: Help keep an eye on how projects that are sponsored by donations are going
• Reporting: Write detailed reports for donors about how the initiative is going and what difference it is making

Requirements and Eligibility:

• Age: 18 to 80 years old
• Nationality: You must be a Ugandan citizen or legal resident
• Education: A bachelor's degree in law ,media international relations journalism or political science
• Experience: Three years of work experience that is applicable
• Languages: Speaks English well
• Skills: Great at writing drafting and reporting Knowledge of MS Office Having experience in donor relations raising money or writing reports is a big plus
