Job Purpose

The Security Officer will oversee security operations at a manufacturing facility, monitor access, prevent loss, conduct inspections, and coordinate with contracted teams to maintain a safe, compliant, and risk-free environment.

Key Responsibilities

Control and monitor all access points per company policy
Prevent loss, theft, and misuse of company property
Inspect personnel and vehicles at entry and exit
Disarm armed visitors and secure firearms in designated storage
Supervise receipt and dispatch of goods and materials
Maintain accurate security registers, dispatch logs, and reports
Identify and report security risks to the Security Supervisor
Conduct regular patrols of all company areas
Perform additional duties as assigned by management

Qualifications and Requirements

Education: Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE). Diploma in any field is an advantage
Experience: Minimum 2 years in security operations
Knowledge: Good understanding of criminal investigation procedures
Record: Clean criminal record (no convictions)
Skills:
- High attention to detail and observation
- Strong integrity, alertness, and sound judgment
- Physically fit for security duties
