Job Summary:

The Financial Controller will make sure that financial reports are correct and honest for our client in the services industry at several locations. This strategic position requires working closely with the Finance, Operations, Compliance, HR, and IT teams to help with month-end closes, reconciliations, regulatory compliance, and giving financial information for making decisions.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Work with the Head Work with the Head of Finance to run the Finance team
• Make sure that financial reporting, planning, and compliance are all done well
• Make sure that the monthly management accounts and annual financial statements are correct
• Work with department heads to plan and budget; analyze financial data and give strategic insights to top management; make sure that financial accounting processes are accurate and comprehensive; and find and make changes to financial processes that need them.
• Check your own books to make sure you're following the law and the rules for money.
• Set up strong procedures for internal control.
• Do cash flow forecasts and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Check to see if assets and big purchases are worth the money they cost.
• Keep an eye on how well projects are doing in relation to their financial goals.
• Lead the creation of financial strategies and reporting systems.
• Keep track of accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll efficiency.
• Help junior members of the financial team grow and learn
• Support enhancements to the system and improvements to the financial process
• Make ensuring that rules and regulations are followed

Qualifications and Skills:

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA, ACCA, or something similar)
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline; strong experience with audits and financial reporting;
• A good understanding of financial systems and internal controls
• Advanced Excel and analytical skills
• Great communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work well with people from different departments
• Experience with working with outside auditors
• Ability to adjust to system updates and changes in processes
• A dedication to ongoing professional growth
• Understanding of rules and standards for compliance
• The ability to think strategically and solve problems
• Skills for leading and managing a team
• Experience managing finances across several sites
• Expertise in budgeting and forecasting
• Ability to handle cash flow
