Job Purpose:
To speak for URSB in court and give the Bureau accurate and smart legal advice to make sure it has a strong legal position.
Main Tasks and Duties:
- Act as the Bureau's representative in court and deal with legal issues.
- Give legal advice on how to follow the laws and rules that apply.
- Look at the laws, rules, regulations, and policies that will be affected by new laws or policy changes and give management advice.
- Make sure the Bureau's interests are protected by reviewing and preparing contracts with third parties.
- Make plans, budgets, and strategies for the legal department and carry them out. - Find and talk about legal dangers and ways to lessen them.
- Write reports for Management and the Board on a regular basis.
- Represent the Bureau in meetings and deal with legal stakeholders.
- Set up department meetings, write down what happens, and make sure action items are taken care of.
- Do legal research on issues that concern the Bureau.
- Do other tasks that your boss or management tells you to do.
Values, Qualifications, and Experience:
- A Bachelor of Laws (Honors) degree from a school that is well-known (MUST).
- A Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from a school that is known for it (MUST).
- A valid practicing certificate is required.
- At least five (5) years of expertise in litigation and giving legal advice at a well-known company.
- A lot of understanding about the laws that apply.
- Great talents in writing, leading, and talking to others.
- Can operate with little supervision and lead legal teams.
- Very good at using computers.
