Job Summary

The Tax Advisory Manager at PKF Uganda will provide expert tax advice, ensure compliance with tax laws, and offer strategic guidance on complex tax matters. This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication, and deep knowledge of the tax regulatory framework to deliver high-quality client service and drive business growth.

Roles, Duties, and Responsibilities

Review and oversee clients’ tax calculations and returns
Manage tax compliance and advisory tasks
Lead tax audits, investigations, and appeals
Provide strategic tax planning, tax governance, and transfer pricing advice
Develop tax training programs and promote tax services to clients
Recruit, train, and supervise junior team members
Assist with budgeting, billing, and collections
Motivate teams and conduct performance reviews
Deliver accurate and timely reports
Execute tax advisory projects effectively
Uphold professional and ethical standards
Support business expansion and client relationship growth

Qualifications, Education, and Skills

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Law, or a related field
Professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, or ADIT) is an advantage
Minimum 5 years of experience in tax advisory, including 2 years in a managerial role
Extensive knowledge of tax laws and compliance
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Inspirational leadership and team management abilities
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proven client management skills to build trust and long-term relationships
Effective project management skills for efficient engagement execution
High attention to detail for accurate, high-quality deliverables
Proficiency in technology and tax software
