Summary of the Job:
Nile Breweries Limited, the best beer company in Uganda, is searching for a Team Leader to oversee production teams that work in shifts and make sure they follow safety and quality requirements.
About the Group:
Nile Breweries Limited (NBL) started in 1951 and is today Uganda's biggest beer maker. It has a 59% market share and can make 2.45 million hectolitres of beer a year. NBL is a member of the AB InBev family around the world.
It owns breweries in Jinja and Mbarara and is noted for being environmentally friendly, innovative, and involved in the community through local sourcing and environmental programs.
Roles, Duties, and Responsibilities
- Follow the regulations for health, safety, and the environment to keep the workplace safe and healthy.
- Make sure you meet all safety and cleanliness standards.
- Use VPO tools and principles to manage the shift
- Stay within budget while meeting the production plan
- Schedule maintenance and autonomous operations
- Keep an eye on production procedures within the budget.
- Make the change happen according to the production plan.
- Help the team operate better together
- Set up procedures for managing performance
- Make sure that work communication is clear
- Do Administration
- Set up and manage the working circumstances of team members
- Make and manage budgets
- Take care of Short Interval
- Use administrative systems and processes
- Every month, keep an eye on your finances.
- Take care of the people that work for you
- Help them grow and follow company policies
- Keep the industrial relations atmosphere healthy.
Qualifications, schooling, and skills
- A bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical, industrial, automotive, or power engineering
- Finishing the AB InBev Packaging Traineeship
- Experience running a fast packaging line (a plus)
- A history of extraordinary success
- A strong work ethic and a liking of figuring things out
- Good at managing and leading groups
