Overview of the Position

The successful candidates will report to the Transport Supervisor and be in charge of making sure that products are delivered safely and on schedule utilizing tricycles (tuk-tuks). They will also need to make sure that customers are happy and that business rules are followed.

Roles, Duties, and Responsibilities

• Use different routes to get different products to different places quickly
• Work with the delivery team to make sure that the products are loaded safely and transported safely
• Be ready to work early in the morning, late at night, on holidays, and on Sundays when deliveries are needed
• Watch over the loading process to make sure the materials are safely secured on the tricycle
• Keep your logbooks and delivery records up to date and correct
• Talk to the transport crew on a frequent basis to let them know about any problems that come up during deliveries
• Make sure the trike is clean, neat, and in good shape
• Drive safely, follow the speed limit, and make sure the loader is properly situated and using safety gear while in transportation
• While the loader is unloading and delivering goods, stay with the trike
• Get customers to sign delivery papers and then send them to customer service after you finish the deliveries
• Follow the rules of the environmental management system
• Do whatever other tasks that your boss gives you

Qualifications and Skills

• A Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE)
• A valid driver’s license with a class B1
• At least two years of experience driving tricycles (tuk-tuks)
• The ability to work alone and get things done quickly
• Good in talking and writing
• Very good at helping customers
• Ability to accurately follow company rules and processes
• Ability to make good choices
