Job Summary

The Air Compressor Technician will report to the Mechanical Maintenance Officer and ensure the efficient operation, maintenance, and reliability of industrial air compressors across the plant. The role involves preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and performance optimization to guarantee a consistent air supply for production units.

Roles, Duties, and Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess compressor performance to optimize air supply, minimize energy use, and prevent leaks
• Diagnose and resolve issues promptly on industrial screw and reciprocating air compressors
• Develop, implement, and document preventive maintenance schedules for all compressors
• Plan preventive maintenance tasks, ensuring availability of required spare parts
• Collaborate with service providers to execute scheduled compressor maintenance on time
• Work with the Mechanical Maintenance Officer to manage and monitor critical spare parts inventory
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and submit regular reports to relevant stakeholders
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Mechanical Maintenance Officer

Qualifications, Education, and Skills

• Craft Certificate or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (Industrial Option) or a related discipline
• At least 2 years of experience maintaining industrial screw and reciprocating air compressors in a factory setting
• Skills and Competencies:
  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting and technical understanding
  • Proficiency in mathematical and analytical skills
  • Self-motivated with excellent time management and multitasking abilities
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and customer service skills
  • Effective problem-solving and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to perform efficiently in a fast-paced industrial environment
