Job Summary

The Artisan at Nile Breweries Limited (NBL) enhances and modifies process control systems, supports the installation of electrical and control systems, and ensures equipment reliability through calibration and repairs The role optimizes packaging operations and related equipment to maintain availability and uphold product quality

Duties, Roles, and Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and healthy workplace by adhering to health, safety, and environmental regulations
• Ensure compliance with safety and housekeeping standards
• Calibrate, repair, and optimize packaging and related equipment to maintain operational efficiency
• Identify and manage packaging systems, tools, spare parts, and critical documentation
• Plan and prepare for maintenance and repair tasks
• Operate equipment for packaging processes and install instruments as needed
• Make basic, approved modifications to PLC software
• Collaborate effectively within teams and communicate clearly
• Support team development through coaching and training
• Apply problem-solving processes, loss and waste analysis, and short interval control to identify and resolve issues
• Follow VPO and 5S principles and methods in daily operations
• Adhere to SOPs for process operation and control
• Participate in and coach autonomous operations
• Support quality assurance at the source
• Enhance personal and team competency and flexibility

Qualifications, Education, and Skills

Skills: 
Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Excel and Word
