Job Summary
The Audit Senior at PKF Uganda will lead audit engagements, ensuring compliance with professional standards and delivering exceptional client service. This role involves planning and executing audits, mentoring junior team members, providing technical advice, and fostering client relationships to support business growth.
Roles, Duties, and Responsibilities
- Plan and execute audit engagements on schedule, as agreed
- Supervise, coach, and train engagement teams to enhance efficiency and productivity
- Review and analyze financial statements, identify risks, and recommend improvements
- Ensure audit reports are accurate and compliant with regulations
- Deliver audits and client reports on time
- Manage and grow client relationships
- Maintain professional networks
- Support projects that drive business growth
- Lead and manage teams effectively
Qualifications, Education, and Competencies
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- At least 3 years of experience in a busy audit firm, including leading engagements
- CPA or ACCA qualification required
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and International Standards on Auditing (ISAs), with practical application
- Solid understanding of accounting principles
- Proven leadership and team management skills
- Excellent analytical and communication skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and audit software
- Strong ethical standards and integrity
- Effective organizational skills
