Job Summary

The Audit Senior Associate at PKF Uganda will support the planning and execution of audit engagements in line with the firm’s methodology and professional standards. This role involves delivering high-quality audit deliverables, mentoring junior staff, and contributing to the firm’s commitment to exceptional client service and continuous professional development.

Roles, Duties, and Responsibilities

Plan and execute audit engagements efficiently and effectively
Coach and mentor junior staff during audit processes
Prepare management letters, audit presentations, and financial statements compliant with the Companies Act, IFRS, and Accounting Standards
Support Audit Seniors on large-scale projects
Provide guidance and training to junior auditors to foster their professional development

Qualifications, Education, and Competencies

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
At least 2 years of experience in a busy audit environment
Strong knowledge of IFRS and International Standards on Auditing (ISAs), including their application to financial statements and audits
CPA or ACCA candidate, completed or pursuing Level 2, is preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and audit software
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
High attention to detail and accuracy
Strong organizational and time-management abilities
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Strong ethical standards and integrity
Effective leadership and team management skills
