Job Summary

M-KOPA is seeking many Senior Backend Engineers (II & III) to create complex event-driven microservices that enable financial inclusion solutions for millions of clients across Africa.

Responsibilities, Duties, and Roles

• Create complex event-driven microservices that make a difference in the real world
• Be responsible for solutions from design to monitoring in production
• Use the .NET framework and current C# stack to get things done.
• Use Kubernetes to build microservices that run on Azure.
• Take part in an internal engineering bootcamp to get a full onboarding experience.
• Work together in teams that value DevOps culture and continuous delivery.

Technical Environment

• The newest version of .NET with C#
• Microservices & cloud hosting on Azure/Kubernetes
• Event-driven architecture
• A mix of old and new microservices in a greenfield environment

Skills, Education, and Qualifications

• A good understanding of C# .NET development
• Experience with event-driven systems
• Experience with microservices architecture
• Knowledge of testing and deployment
• DevOps culture mindset
• Proven ability to work well with others in remote teams
• Willingness to learn new things all the time
