Job Description

The Commercial Marketing Manager will be in charge of planning and carrying out strategic marketing campaigns that help M-KOPA reach its business goals. This means coming up with marketing campaigns, product marketing plans, programs to learn more about customers, and brand communication strategies to get people to use your product, buy it, and keep using it. The job requires working with teams from different departments, such as product, sales, customer success, and communications, to make sure that messaging and engagement are the same across all channels. The person who gets the job will be in charge of campaign performance, analyzing market and consumer data, and improving marketing strategies to help the business reach its growth goals.

Duties, Roles, and Responsibilities

  • Create and carry out marketing plans that help the business grow.
  • Lead integrated marketing campaigns to get new customers and get people to use your products.
  • Do research on the market and customers to help with marketing plans.
  • Work with the product and commercial teams to launch and grow products.
  • Keep an eye on and analyze marketing performance metrics, and improve campaigns.
  • Take care of marketing budgets and make sure resources are used well.
  • To make sure that the brand is consistent, work closely with both internal teams and outside partners.
  • Help with GTM projects and programs that get customers involved
  • Make marketing materials and communication tools for specific campaigns.
  • Get people to know about your brand and trust it in all markets.

Education, Skills, and Qualifications

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field
  • Having a master's degree is a plus.

Experience

  • Proven experience in marketing products or businesses
  • Preferred: experience in a digital-first, fast-growing setting
  • Experience with marketing products, building brands, and communicating with consumers
  • It would be helpful to know about African consumer markets and fintech or tech-enabled products.
