Job Summary

The Shop Executive at Sun King in Mbarara will manage store operations, ensuring quality and quantity targets are met while delivering exceptional customer service and operational efficiency. This role involves inventory management, customer support, basic repairs, and reporting to support Sun King’s mission of accessible solar energy solutions.

Roles, Duties, and Responsibilities

Inventory Management

Receive and track stock from the warehouse
Distribute stock based on first-in, first-out principles and business needs
Maintain up-to-date stock cards and online Goods Received/Issued logs
Provide sales information as required
Conduct daily cycle counts and monthly stock takes
Manage substandard stock for consolidation and disposal
Monitor spare parts stock and handle reordering processes

Reporting

Generate daily reports on available stock for stakeholders
Report daily on stock issued for replacement or restocking

Repairs and Spare Parts Management

Safeguard repair tools and toolkits
Perform basic checks on defective equipment before replacement
Conduct basic repairs on warranty-covered returns

Store and Customer Management

Maintain a clean, organized store adhering to SKU standards
Keep the repair workbench clean and safe
Greet and assist walk-in customers
Receive defective parts, diagnose issues, and verify warranty status
Support Energy Officers and collaborate with the Call Center to address customer inquiries

Qualifications, Education, and Competencies

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field from a recognized institution
At least 2 years of experience in a similar role
Knowledge of Sun King products is an advantage
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Proven report-writing and problem-solving abilities
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
Familiarity with the Mbarara area is an advantage
